We do love a challenge at Highland Hustle! So, after a conversation whilst lecturing for the SDTA in Vancouver alongside Sabra MacGillivray I decided to put a challenge together for the ‘Highland Hustlers’ at the annual Conference … a great laugh and lots of fun to learn!

Having danced since the age of 3 Highland Dancing has always been a big part of my life. As I got older, competing become more difficult due to other commitments and so for years I had contemplated becoming a Highland Hustle instructor so that I could continue my passion and instruct at a time convenient to my lifestyle. Between University and work commitments the time to become an instructor never really felt right, until the summer of 2018. I decided that there were no more excuses and headed off to Perth to meet in with Gillian.

Highland Hustle holiday fun … we don’t take ourselves too seriously! Love our brilliant community of class attendees having a bit of Highland Hustle fun from the world’s highest building in Dubai to cruise ships in Mumbai. Ultimate respect for dancing in clogs and with milk pails in Amsterdam too!

My Mum is my inspiration. She supports me, drives 106 round trip to attend my Highland Hustle classes and I love that we now get to share a hobby and be twins together in our Highland Hustle t-shirts!

The big bright spot I have to look forward to, is this year’s Highland Hustle Conference – only 217 days to plan my escape!
All I am ask is 36 hours of pure me time.
