I’m Michelle from Dingwall and I love to do the Hustle…
So off I went for my weekend training and running trial classes in North Kessock and Dingwall. I have to say I have a soft spot for the Tots classes as the children and families are so adorable!
Pre-school is my favourite to work with as they are little sponges who want to soak up everything they are taught. I am always amazed by how hard the children and parents work when they come along.
I see an improvement in their movements every week, including skipping, galloping, jumping, balancing and more. But the best part is when families can come to class together.
Highland Hustle is the highlight of my 2-year-old daughter’s week! It is a lovely class that both my daughter and I really enjoy. Michelle is a fantastic teacher, who is doing a great job inspiring little Highland dancers!Ella's Mum, Jenny
After three fantastic Hustle years, I am still smiling and full of excitement for Hustle and Hustle Tots! My last three years have included fundraising for Cash for Kids, dressing up and themed nights, sponsored walk up a very big hill in tutu’s, burns celebrations, nursery and toddler sessions and more.
This week I am going in to two local schools to run lunch time sessions and I even have a Hen party in my diary for later in the year! I have grown as a person and my confidence has soared. I’m not ‘just’ a mum, I am a Highland Hustle Instructor and wear my uniform with pride!
I have three young children and Highland Hustle is fantastic for fitting around them. I practice my routines with my daughter Gracie Eve who keeps me right! I learn every day from her and all my Highland Hustle Tots. They walk in to class with their big smiles ready to dance and have fun. They copy all the moves, listen, concentrate, share and work hard, we could all learn from them.
I can honestly say I have the best job in the world and I say this out loud after every Tots class I take. Being part of children’s lives and helping them achieve their goals and dreams is an ‘honour’.
Thursday and Friday are my Tots days and I look forward to seeing them come through the door with their happy wee faces – all ready to learn it just melts my heart! Watching them learn through music and dance and having fun is very rewarding.
They say it’s the simple things and this week I watched as two Tots came together to share a beanbag which is a huge thing to do at two years old! And last week I watched a family of mum and two sisters dance together with their baby sister watching from the side.
So I do it all again next week unsure what the classes will bring but certain they will bring us all together for lots of fun, happiness and exercise as a family.
Eloise loves Highland Hustle tots with Michelle. She has learned some basic highland steps whilst having lots of fun with mummy too. Michelle makes it fun for the kids and we forget we are exercisingEloise’s mum, Gayle says:
Skips, jumps, gallops, star jumps, turns and points is how I finish my week but this time with a huge smile on my face ready to go again next week!
