Did you know that you can do Highland Dance lessons in Australia? It is a pleasure to introduce Tessa Bond as the Hustle Hero Australian representative.
Tessa joined Highland Dance lessons to learn the Highland Fling at age seven in Australia and has been leading fantastic Highland Hustle classes since 2016.

With little knowledge of the art form and no family history of Highland Dancing, Tessa was instantly in love with it and her passion for dance has only grown since.
Tessa has competed in championships and competitions all over Australia and internationally, gaining top three placings on numerous occasions. Over the last 6 years she has been a member of the OzScot Australia dance team which performs at International events. In 2015 Tessa fulfilled a life long dream of dancing at the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo.
Tessa still trains in Highland Dance but over the last few years has transitioned into a teaching role. She is a qualified as a Highland Dance teacher and then completed Highland Hustle Instructor training course. While initially Tessa was nervous about starting an adult fitness class, she says the guidance and support provided by Gillian and other Hustle Instructors gave her the confidence to commence, and she hasn't looked back since!
Today, Tessa runs two weekly Hustle classes and has been involved in organising and running Hustle pop up sessions and demonstrations at various Scottish events throughout Victoria. Some of her fun loving Highland Hustlers can be seen below!
Tessa loves the inclusiveness of Highland Hustle, which has seen retired dancers, aspiring dancers and those with no dance experience or Scottish background become involved in a fun and energetic Scottish workout. The social aspect of the workout is equally integral to the success of the class, with many new friendships formed between Hustlers!
